Slowdowns

Man, life is keeping it harsh on me. Here's something small and silly I did in paintchat with someone:

Also, here's a look at my sister's flying squirrel:

Quick watercolor work

Okay, time for some silliness. These are NOT good quality. Forgive me.

Both of these people are friends of mine, and besides praying for eachother, we doodle for eachother too :D

The above was done for someone who's family nickname is "jessicaelephant". Hehehe... she wants to be a children's illustrator some day. I had to humor her and watercolor this for her, as she said no one had ever tried to draw her from that nickname.

This is for Rachel, a nice friend I met online a while ago. She's a pretty hardcore fantasy buff, and made her own dragon species... which she calls bubble dragons. xD I love em, and this one is called spindrift. I'm sorry! But silliness is the best!

sci-fi thingy

Well... this was a strange thing I was working on for a while. It was going to be about a story of a war-torn planet. And the soldiers there had been ordered to "stick it out" last they heard before transmissions from their chain of command went down. So... they did what they had to survive. And technology is supposedly fueled by souls... which is where the twist comes in. And that's why I was going to call it "Capturing the Children". And of course, things do a total flip flop here and there, and there's huge plot things that come up and make it overall a very spiritual kind of sci-fi graphic novel (something I think is slightly lacking most of the time), but overall, I thought the story got too dark at some points... the arguments about society I made in the plot were very very strong. It just felt wrong to be so condemning, so I've only ever done the cover page, and stopped all character/story/illustration work on it for now. But it's a part of a bigger universe, so I plan on keeping things secret so that I can possibly bring it up later. Here's the page (very incomplete, IMO. And also has some errors. M.C. Escher kind of errors...)

Music update

My most recent musical creations have been the following:

Cheer Salvo(something I did for some friends of mine)

Chromus can fix it (basically a mechanical musical doodle. It's just supposed to be silly sounding)

Fresh Fur (A joke on when I was at the 'fresh fire' convention and accidentally yelled "Fresh Fur" and confusion ensued. Luckily, I'm good at the "I didn't yell that... it was from over there" face)

Sharing a blanket (a muse on how I used to hand blankets to my friends so they could snuggle under them and daydream. I still love to daydream under blankets when I'm solving tough problems, getting inspiration, praying in the spirit (good for visualizing warfare since the outside world can't distract you), and so forth.)

Finally! Last one!

Argh! I had to create yet ANOTHER blog, because all the others I've had to make for people don't have anything like RSS or atom... so I'm putting this here for the folks who want my creative work on a feed. Besides, my other blogs are for friends... peers... programming... junk that you folks (da fam) won't want. I'll also just spill out more general junk here for folks too... and as always, anyone from my fam who wants to can communicate back to me using comments here. Just ask me in email if you guys aren't sure how and I'll guide you through it (you sign up and junk).
