Stuff to come

It's decided. Going to be making an album.

Thinking 8 tracks. The theme will be pretty odd. Trying to see if I should get a label, or if I'll just post it on some place like CD-Baby

Perhaps I should post previews? Hmm... I think I'll put them up only in complete form. But I'll be emailing snippets to people.

ALSO! I should be posting a few gouache paintings sometime soon. Err, assuming I don't hate them too badly. Gosh, I'm lazy. I need to stop looking at my art and saying "Geez, that's terrible. I'll just act like I'm not doing anything rather than post those paintings."

Basic Walkcycle work

In 3d animation land, I did pull this off. It's a strange, partially disconnected character by someone who's an awesome mechanical engineer. Her character seemed too cool to animate, so I tried this walkcycle to work out kinks in the rig.

Fyel Walkcycle test

Up next, I'll fully animate a small scene. I think it'll just be a better impression of the guy... (he's shy and skittish)... plus I'll animate every bit of him (eyes, mouth, brow, tail, shoulders, etc)

You might notice a few skinning bugs. I'll get those fixxed eventually. Or maybe I'll pay the neighbors kids money (a couple nickels) to do it for me. Heheh... I'll just have to take the nickels from my dad. :-/

Water colors I forgot about

Doh! I should have put this up on there. Here you guys go... something I did for someone recently. Been keeping them in my prayers since they are looking for work still.

Okay, I'll try to keep this feed much more up to date now... but I'll try to avoid too many 'rough sketches' for your own sakes.

koi gift

Just a gift I'm doing for someone...

I'm praying that their mountains will be moved.... she has been through a lot.

Get funky...

Something I just finished for someone in Israel. She draws kangaroo anthro stuff, which is completely awesome. Here's her character, Simon:

new mediums?

Well, I bought some curious stuff called 'watercolor canvas paper'

It feels like none of those words really describe it. Seems cool!

I also bought a 'block-o-coldpress' made by those folks from canson. The doodle I put on them is pretty weird... which is SO me, anyways.

I hope to get things done soon, so you can take a peek. Maybe. Or I might feel they are too 'special' and put them on my more questionable art blog. I dunno... I just like to separate my art for those who are looking for more 'traditional' stuff (like landscapes).

Anyhoo... I'll keep ya posted

Something fun... ish?

Did this with some inspiration from a message about the Holy Spirit... and its based on a render from apophysis
(clickety to download a larger res version)

Children's illustrations

I've been learning a ton about children's illustrations!!!

I'll hopefully have something to show soon enough.

I might just tie all my blogs to something I'll host on my home computer too... I'll just need to check and see if the blogs 'cache' other xml feeds or not. If so, then I'll post some crazy junk that hopefully you'll find very clever... stuff that's harder to manage otherwise (large images and flash scripts).

Anyhoo, expect this to get live again... I just finished my hardcore class in operating systems

Goodness! giving virb a try

Okay, I'm lazy. We all know that in the pursuit of laziness, I continue to let God lead my life and stuff... but whatabout for you people? AH! there's hope. I'm putting my music on virb now... a very small subset of it. Hopefully it isn't too painful to listen to... and actually, they DO kill the quality by an incredible degree (imho). Still, see what you think:

Slowdowns

Man, life is keeping it harsh on me. Here's something small and silly I did in paintchat with someone:

Quick watercolor work

Okay, time for some silliness. These are NOT good quality. Forgive me.

Both of these people are friends of mine, and besides praying for eachother, we doodle for eachother too :D

Eleph - 5.jpg
The above was done for someone who's family nickname is "jessicaelephant". Hehehe... she wants to be a children's illustrator some day. I had to humor her and watercolor this for her, as she said no one had ever tried to draw her from that nickname.

This is for Rachel, a nice friend I met online a while ago. She's a pretty hardcore fantasy buff, and made her own dragon species... which she calls bubble dragons. xD I love em, and this one is called spindrift. I'm sorry! But silliness is the best!

sci-fi thingy

Well... this was a strange thing I was working on for a while. It was going to be about a story of a war-torn planet. And the soldiers there had been ordered to "stick it out" last they heard before transmissions from their chain of command went down. So... they did what they had to survive. And technology is supposedly fueled by souls... which is where the twist comes in. And that's why I was going to call it "Capturing the Children". And of course, things do a total flip flop here and there, and there's huge plot things that come up and make it overall a very spiritual kind of sci-fi graphic novel (something I think is slightly lacking most of the time), but overall, I thought the story got too dark at some points... the arguments about society I made in the plot were very very strong. It just felt wrong to be so condemning, so I've only ever done the cover page, and stopped all character/story/illustration work on it for now. But it's a part of a bigger universe, so I plan on keeping things secret so that I can possibly bring it up later. Here's the page (very incomplete, IMO. And also has some errors. M.C. Escher kind of errors...)

Music update

My most recent musical creations have been the following:

Cheer Salvo(something I did for some friends of mine)

Chromus can fix it (basically a mechanical musical doodle. It's just supposed to be silly sounding)

Fresh Fur (A joke on when I was at the 'fresh fire' convention and accidentally yelled "Fresh Fur" and confusion ensued. Luckily, I'm good at the "I didn't yell that... it was from over there" face)

Sharing a blanket (a muse on how I used to hand blankets to my friends so they could snuggle under them and daydream. I still love to daydream under blankets when I'm solving tough problems, getting inspiration, praying in the spirit (good for visualizing warfare since the outside world can't distract you), and so forth.)

Finally! Last one!

Argh! I had to create yet ANOTHER blog, because all the others I've had to make for people don't have anything like RSS or atom... so I'm putting this here for the folks who want my creative work on a feed. Besides, my other blogs are for friends... peers... programming... junk that you folks (da fam) won't want. I'll also just spill out more general junk here for folks too... and as always, anyone from my fam who wants to can communicate back to me using comments here. Just ask me in email if you guys aren't sure how and I'll guide you through it (you sign up and junk).
